Intuition Saved me from a Dangerous Situation
by Kathy Perry
I was in Ybor City getting a haircut a few weeks ago and I decided to stay, do some shopping, get something to eat and wait for rush hour traffic to thin out. I walked around Centro Ybor, bought something at Victoria's Secret and then Garry called me. I was walking around, carrying my Victoria's Secret bag and talking to him on my cell phone and not paying attention to anything around me.
I started walking down 7th Avenue away from Centro Ybor, past the Green Iguana, still talking on the cell phone. Not too many people were on the streets, since it was too early for the usual Ybor crowd. I began to get this feeling that I can't really explain, other than my intuition sensed danger. I stopped walking in front of a bar/restaurant and realized that I was being followed by two young men. They stopped walking when I did, so I told Garry that I needed to get off the phone, since I was being followed. I turned around and started walking back towards Centro Ybor and was still being followed. I ducked in the Green Iguana and went into the bathroom. When I came out, they were sitting by the restaurant entrance. The restaurant is shaped in a U, so I slipped out the other entrance and walked very quickly back to Centro Ybor, where police were patrolling. Finally they stopped following me.
By talking on the cell phone and not paying attention to my surroundings, I was putting myself in danger. I was a clear target for a mugging or worse. Please be aware that you may not be fully alert when you are engrossed in a conversation on the cell phone and you could be putting yourself in harms way. Thank goodness we have our intuition to help warn us of danger.
Easy Style Cooking with an Asian Flair
by Eleanor Hoh
The two most difficult challenges facing anyone attempting healthier eating habits are, 1) getting started, and 2) keeping going. As medical research accumulates more knowledge about diet and health, the average person is overwhelmed with the "high fact diet". They know more and more about nutrition but never change their eating habits.
GETTING STARTED: In an effort to help my students take the first step, I try to remove all the obstacles to getting started. I never wanted to get into the hardware business, but I discovered that by providing the necessary tools (a pre-seasoned wok, an ingredients caddy, etc.) and essential knowledge (DVD's and audio disks), I remove all the excuses for not getting started right away. Another obstacle to making changes, is the natural resistance to giving up your favorite foods. My approach offers new flavors, textures, and ingredients as opposed to substituting low fat, low carb versions of the foods you currently eat. New cuisines and styles of cooking promise an exciting adventure, the rewards of which will motivate you to get started. When you eat a low fat, low calorie version of your favorite cheesecake, you focus on what's missing and are tempted to cheat.
KEEPING GOING: Losing weight is probably the main reason people want to change their diets. Oftentimes, they're motivated by specific health considerations like diabetes. The problem with relying on 'future benefits' to motivate you is that these benefits are often too intangible to keep us going. I encourage a cooking/eating style that emphasizes enjoyment and reward EVERY DAY. The two most important ingredients of this approach are FUN and FLAVOR: FUN in the preparation of the meal and FLAVOR in the dining xperience.
Here are a few tips to “keep you going”: Leverage your time: - Use your cooking time as a meditative, creative experience. My husband, after sixteen years of avoiding the kitchen, now cooks breakfast in the wok. This is the “meditation” break he never had time for. As a result, he feels like he’s added an extra 30 minutes to every day.
Keep it SIMPLE: - Use just 2-3 ingredients per dish. If it’s “quick and simple,” cooking dinner won’t seem such a chore. Always maintain a basic pantry of fresh, frozen, and dried ingredients from which you can whip up a quick meal. This will prevent you from ordering out or going out for fast food.More green veggies: - ALL diets recommend increasing the daily servings of green vegetables and fresh fruits. To many people, "healthy vegetable" means bland, steamed or boiled vegetables. Try FRYING your vegetables. If you don’t have a good wok, use a cast iron pan (DO NOT use non-stick). Let the pan get hot, add the oil (about a tblsp), then add a little garlic and ginger to season the oil. When they are slightly browned, add the veggies and start stir frying (you may have to add a little water and cover to "steam fry" thick-stemmed veggies). Season with dash of tamari and sherry. Yummy! www.eleanorhoh.com
THE SECRET PATH TO ABUNDANCE
by Gwenn Bonnell
I was skeptical when I first heard about tapping in positive statements to increase the flow of money into my life - affirmations were not my cup of tea. But I'll try almost anything once. So when a good friend of mine shared a powerful affirmation proven to increase self–esteem and attract abundance, I changed the wording around a bit to make it mine, and then experimented with my statement using the Temporal Tap technique.
Five days later, I was unexpectedly handed a check for over $18,000.00 and told to do with the money as I wished! And I mean this was TOTALLY unexpected, out of the blue. The day after that, our house was appraised at $75,000.00 more than we bought it for a few years prior. Within three weeks, my husband and I became proud owners of a condo on the beach - without having to pay cash up front. Now, although I have an abundant life, this was a pretty unusual four—week period, even for me! I was totally sold on the power of the Temporal Tap.
The "Temporal Tap" is a recently rediscovered ancient energy technique that is enormously effective in breaking old habits, attitudes and emotional responses and establishing new ones. Simply tapping around the top of the ear is a simple, direct and powerful tool that makes the brain more receptive to learning new habits and instilling new attitudes. It calms the part of the nervous system that fights to maintain your current belief systems and patterns of behavior, making it easy to instill new beliefs and attract success and prosperity into your life.
WANT TO ATTRACT PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS? TAP HERE!
Begin by identifying a habit, attitude, or condition in your life that you would like to change. Then describe the change in a single sentence, and state it as an affirmation in present time as if the condition already exists. For example, you could say, "I joyfully receive abundance in my life," or "Right now, I am prosperous," or even "I always have more than enough money to pay my bills." Affirmations can be anything you wish to become true and operative in your life. They can be specific, such as, "I easily and successfully attract 5 new customers every day," or general, such as "There are plenty of customers for my services." And they can be used to increase success, no matter what your career choice: "I am making good money being a writer, artist, mechanic, hairdresser, etc."
It is important that the statements are in your native language or the one you are most comfortable with, in your own lingo, and aligned with your own values. For easy recall, make them short and to the point.
To perform the Temporal Tap, start tapping at the right temple in front of the ear canal and continue tapping on the scalp along the top edge of the ear until you reach the back center of the ear, just opposite where you started. The active spots are only along the upper half of the ear, from front center to back center. Tapping with all your fingertips bunched together ensures that you contact all the points along the Temporal—Sphenoidal (T—S) line. You do not have to tap too hard, just firmly enough to stimulate the energy. Perform three tapping repetitions, each time repeating your affirmation.
Since the effects of the Temporal Tap last about thirty minutes, wait at least that long or more before repeating the tap with the same affirmation. Doing the procedure several times a day can speed up the installation of new behavior and attitudes since reinforcement is an important part of the process. I tapped in my statement seven times a day at least. The more you tap in the affirmation, the quicker and stronger the effect and the easier your habits will change.
For increased effectiveness, write down your affirmation to make sure you are using the exact wording each time. However, if you think of a more appropriate statement, write down the new version and use that instead.
Temporal Tap separately for as many affirmations as you wish as long as you can easily address them all at least several times a day on a daily basis. Once your statement has become a part of your life, you can replace it with a new one.
Pay attention to what is going through your mind while you are saying the affirmations. For example, if you are stating, "I deserve prosperity and abundance in my life," and your self talk replies, "This is useless, I'm not educated enough to be rich," your statement isn't ringing true for you and needs to be changed. Perhaps saying, "I now have the ability to recognize and take advantage of opportunities that create prosperity," would be more effective. If you are stating, "Money flows easily into my life," and you hear the words, "My parents lived from paycheck to paycheck and so will I," then try something similar to, "I am more abundant than my parents because they want it that way." Be creative with your affirmations; find one that really resonates for you and that you can believe in.

What's Your Financial Blueprint?
featuring T. Harv Eker
“Give me five minutes, and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life. Even better, I’ll show you how to turn it around overnight!”
It’s absolutely true: In just five minutes, T. Harv Eker can identify what’s called your money and success “blueprint.”
Look, we all have a personal money blueprint engrained in our subconscious minds, and it is this blueprint, more than anything else, that will determine our financial lives. Your blueprint is simply your preset program, or way of being, in relation to money. It consists of your thoughts, feelings, and actions around money and finances.
Your own personal blueprint is made up of the “programming” that you have received in the past, especially as a young child. If you have been set in the wrong direction, Eker’s Secrets of the Millionaire Mind reveals how to set your blueprint for success!
You can know everything there is to know about marketing, sales, negotiations, stocks, real estate and the world of finance, but unless your money blueprint is set for a high level of success, you will never achieve the lasting wealth and abundance that you're seeking—and if you somehow do gain it, you will most likely lose it.
We all know the sad story of the majority of lottery winners: they win unheard of amounts of money, only to be back where they started—or worse—within a few years! This is because their "money and success blueprint" is set so that they automatically create ways of losing their new-found wealth!
But the good news is: You can actually RESET your money blueprint to create natural and automatic success.
Your blueprint is like a thermostat. If the temperature in the room is 72°, chances are the thermostat is set for 72°. Is it possible that because the window is open and it’s cold outside, the temperature can drop to 65°? Of course, but what will eventually happen is the thermostat will kick in and bring the temperature back to 72°. The only way to change the temperature in the room is to reset the thermostat.
Similarly, the only way to change your level of financial success on a “permanent” basis is to reset your financial thermostat, otherwise known as your money blueprint.

At the Millionaire Mind Evening seminar, you will learn:
The secret psychology of wealth!
How RICH people think differently than the poor and middle class.

My Success with the T-Tapp Programs by Kathy Perry
I'm so excited about the results I'm getting from the T-Tapp programs that I have to share it with you. I lost 3" from my thighs, 2" from my hips, 2" from my waist, 2" from under my bust (it was actually the rolls on my back that went away) and 1" from around the knees, in a very short period of time.
I started using the T-Tapp Cellulite Removal System first. I began Body Brushing (and taking the skin nutritionals) around the 4th of July and within a few days my skin was like silk. My body was so happy that I was giving it some much needed attention. Prior to that, my skin was dry, flaky and looked dull. Now it looks healthy and like it did 20 years ago. I can't believe the difference it has made. In addition to my skin feeling like silk and looking great, some of my spider veins have diminished. Even those ugly dimples on my behind are gone - which is wonderful!
I watched the "Yes, You Can" DVD that came with Cellulite Removal System, and learned a lot about exercise and how the body works. The exercises are geared for even a beginner like me - I have never been one to workout. The T-Tapp Points-of-Perfection made sense and I began to incorporate them into my daily routine.
After a couple weeks with the "Yes, You Can" DVD and Body Brushing, I decided to try the regular exercise program, and I started with the "Step Away the Inches Walking Workout" first. By the end of July, I was doing the 15 minute "Basic Workout Plus" workout every day and loved it. Within just a couple weeks, I was seeing great results. I was amazed that I lost 3" from my thighs, 2" from my hips, 2" from my waist, 2" from under my bust (it was actually the rolls on my back that went away) and 1" from around the knees.
I am excited that I now have a quick and easy workout that gets results fast! There is more information on the http://www.peakperformancewomen.com/ website on the Resources page or click here: http://www.t-tapp.com/store/shopaff.asp?affid=1012
DECISIONS by Erik Welker
Most of us are not truly in the “driver’s seat” of our own lives. Instead, we are consumed by the needs of our insecure egos, and our minds are subtly, but severely misled to believe that we are “in control.” But the truth is, not one of us has the capabilities to predict what will happen to either ourselves or anyone else – not in a year or a month, not tomorrow, and not even a few minutes from now. We can plan, hope, demand, expect or wish, but we cannot control the outcome of our external, often chaotic world. We are passengers on a ride with our own destinies. But if this is true, then who - or what - is driving the vehicle that we call “ME”?
The answer comes to us in the form of a “gift” from our Creator. And that gift is called “free will.” God presents us with a series of choices each and every day, and with every decision that we make, our destinies and the direction of our lives are forever changed, and continuously being re-created.
Imagine standing at the beginning of an endless hallway. There are an infinite number of closed doors on both sides of the path. These doors represent your future. Behind each door is a pre-determined piece of your life, your destiny. You have the freedom to choose any door that you’d like, but each door looks the same. How do you choose a door, and more importantly, what will you find beyond your chosen path?
Every time you make a decision, you are essentially opening another door. What is revealed to you behind that door is not only the experience of the consequence of your decision, but also another endless hallway, again with an infinite set of doors. Once you enter through a door, time will not allow you to go back. The choice is irreversible and so are the inevitable consequences of that choice.
When a positive choice is made, not only does it allow you to step into a brighter light and a more fulfilling destiny, but it also begins to push other doors, representing further opportunity, wide open. This metaphor of a successive stream of “choices as doorways” is the path of the soul, or spirit within, the birthmark of God that, when connected, will serve as your guide to love, balance and a lifetime of fulfillment and joy.
The divine nature of the soul provides us with the strength and vision to rise above the confusion and chaotic nature of the world, to experience peace and inner harmony. The soul is infinitely connected to the wisdom of God, and it can supply us with the answers to our every question in life. It is our lifeblood, the fuel that motivates us to live into our highest self. And when we can get beyond the greedy and selfish needs of the ego, our soul -- aligned with God’s will for us -- will ultimately take control of the steering wheel of the vehicle that we call “ME.”
The gift of the soul and free will are not the only gifts that we have been blessed with. Each and every one of us has a treasure chest full of sacred “gifts” lying dormant within us, waiting to be discovered. The “key” to unlocking these inner soul treasures and using them in our lives is tuning our mind, body and soul in to the highest frequencies of consciousness, i.e. beginning a routine of regularly contacting and integrating with the pure, transcendental state of consciousness referred to as one’s Higher Self, or simply spirit.
Please be aware, this key that unlocks the gates of heaven comes at a price not willing to be paid by most. This transformation – from ignorance to ownership of one’s inner treasures – requires great changes within. “Blood, sweat and tears” born of the required use of self-discipline and faith are widely known as pre-cursors to change.
Faith, indeed, is an essential vehicle to safely carry one across the rugged terrain of “change.” But faith, in the eyes of many, can be construed as “risky” or cause one to experience a level of discomfort, because there is no guarantee of the outcome. This is why change, self-discipline and continuous actions based upon faith are three phenomena that people seem to deeply fear. However, these three, when practiced (and especially when mastered), naturally enhance your ability to attract positivity, synchronicity, success and abundance. When a person is faced with a doubtful undertaking, their faith, perhaps more that anything else, can rally the forces necessary to achieve the successful outcome of the venture.

"Remodel your Mind, Empower your Life"
Tips for veggies with Asian twist by Eleanor Hoh
The beauty of stir frying without a recipe, is that you can make the best use of fresh, seasonal vegetables. Keep it simple, use only two or three different veggies in a dish. Give your dish a visual punch by including a contrasting color veggie like red bell pepper or carrot.
If you don't have a good wok use a cast iron pan (DO NOT use non-stick). Let the pan get hot, add the oil, then add a little garlic and ginger to season the oil. Stir fry your veggies (add a little water to help steam fry thick stemmed veggies). To season your vegetables with an Asian twist, add a squirt of tamari and a dash of sherry directly to your veggies in the wok while you're frying. As you build your confidence, you'll realize you can stir-fry ANY vegetable right from your local supermarket.
Here are a few suggestions for veggie combinations :
- Snow peas, carrots and mushrooms - take out the string alongside the snow peas.
- zucchini, yellow squash & red bell pepper - they all cook about the same time.
- broccoli, orange bell pepper & grape tomatoes halved (add these right at the end)
Add in scallions near the end of your stir fry to give it that extra
oompf, yummy...
